Udaipur Computer Traders Association concludes 2024 Cricket tournament under new leadership of Ajay Srivastava
18th March, 2024: The cricketing fever soared high in Udaipur as the city witnessed the grand spectacle of the Canon Premier League organized by the Udaipur Computer Traders Association (UCTA) at the MB College A ground. Sponsored by Canon, with commercial co-sponsorship from Lenovo and Cyber Power, the event showcased thrilling cricketing action over two days.
Six formidable teams battled it out on the field: Canon, HP Peripherals, BenQ, Tiandy, Hi Focus, and Zebion. Led by captains Mr. Anoop Srivastava, Mr. Naresh Menaria, Mr. Gajendra Chandaliya, Mr. Kamendra, Mr. Ajay Dodeja, and Mr. Vikas Agarwal respectively, these teams brought their A-game to the tournament.
The excitement kicked off with the inauguration ceremony on 16th March, graced by Canon’s management team including Mr. Vishesh Bhatia, Mr. Shireesh Vaisnav, and Mr. Rajesh Luthra alongside UCTA President Mr. Ajay Srivastava.
A total of six group matches unfolded, culminating in a gripping final showdown between HP Peripherals and Tiandy. In a thrilling encounter, Tiandy emerged victorious, clinching the title by a commanding 60-run margin. Sharukh was hailed as the Man of the Match, while Khush bagged the prestigious Man of the Series award. Notable mentions also went to Badresh for Best Bowler, Bharat for Best Batsman, and Deepankar for Best Wicketkeeper.
The closing ceremony was a grand affair, adorned with prizes and gifts generously provided by the sponsors. The event welcomed esteemed guests including Mr. Paras Ji Jain, President of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Deputy Mayor of Udaipur. Special guests such as Mr. Rajeev Singh (MD BenQ), Mr. Vishesh Bhatia (BM Canon Rajasthan), and Mr. Shireesh Vaisnav (ASM Canon Raj) added charm to the occasion.
Expressing gratitude, UCTA President Mr. Ajay Srivastava delivered the closing address and vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all involved in making the event a resounding success.
The Canon Premier League drew a significant audience comprising company representatives and IT dealers from Udaipur and neighboring areas. Families of IT dealers also joined in the excitement, making the final match a memorable experience for all. The enthusiasm was palpable throughout, with the Lucky Draw segment adding an extra layer of excitement. The highlight of the event was the Mega Bumper Prize, a Canon Ink Tank Printer, won by lucky participant Pradhuman, leaving everyone delighted and content.
