Brother wins “Good Design Award 2020” for four products

Brother Industries, Ltd., head office of Brother Nordic A/S and one of the leading global manufacturers of laser and inkjet printers have won a Japanese design award “Good Design Award 2020” for four of Brothers latest products.

Brother has received a total of 214 Good Design Awards, including for four products this year, since it first won the award for its home sewing machine in 1960. This marks the 28th year in a row, since 1993, that Brother has received this award.

Nordic Marketing Director & Sales Director, Denmark Henning Elkjær at Brother Nordic A/S says: “The Good Design Award does not just recognize products with exceptional appearance and function. Selection of products and services is also based on whether they provide value to consumers and society as well. The award recognizes the collective efforts of everyone involved with the particular product or service.

“One of the Good Design Awards that Brother received in 2020 was for the P-TOUCH CUBE PT-P910BT label maker, which received the Good Design Best 100 award as one of the 100 products or services most highly evaluated by the screening panel. Recipients of the Good Design Best 100 award are also candidates for the Good Design Grand Award, the highest award, Gold Award and other Special Awards.

•    P-touch CUBE Pro (PT-P910BT) label printer
•    DSmobile DS-640 mobile scanner
•    DSmobile DS-940DW mobile scanner
•    DSmobile DS-740D mobile scanner with 2-sided scan

Good Design Award has been a sole comprehensive design evaluation and communication system in Japan since 1957. Many companies and designers from both inside and outside of Japan participate in the activity to enhance the industry or the quality of life through the design. “G Mark”, the symbol of the award has been recognized widely as a mark representing good design.
