ASUS Announces Dual 4K USB-C Dock

January 6, 2022 ASUS today announced Dual 4K USB-C Dock, an all-new and highly-compact 5-in-1 docking station that offers dual 4K display outputs, 100-watt Power Delivery passthrough, 10 Gbps transfers over USB-C® and USB Type-A, and Gigabit Ethernet.

Designed as a follow-up to the popular ASUS Mini Dock, Dual 4K USB-C Dock offers improved charging efficiency, more advanced display outputs and accelerated data-transfer speeds – empowering busy modern professionals to get connected and down to work, quickly and easily.

Dual 4K visuals: Connects two up to 4K displays via either the HDMI or USB-C ports

With both HDMI® and USB-C built in, Dual 4K USB-C Dock makes it easy to connect a pair of displays, at resolutions of up to 4K, for an extended workspace in superior clarity – making it the perfect choice for multitasking. It also supports refresh rates of up to 144 Hz for 2K video, via either the HDMI or USB-C ports. The upshot is rock-solid, ultrasmooth visuals for everything from presentations to play.

Fast charging and transfers: 100 W USB Power Delivery passthrough and 10 Gbps data transfers

Dual 4K USB-C Dock supports USB Power Delivery, passing through up to 100 watts of juice to connected components. That’s enough power to rapidly charge almost any modern USB-C device, including the latest ultraportable notebooks. It also benefits from a traditional USB Type-A port that has an output of up to 12 watts, so it’s possible to charge two devices at once.

Super-speed transfers are another key benefit of Dual 4K USB-C Dock, with both the USB Type-A and USB-C ports able to support data transfers of up to 10 Gbps, which is up to 4X faster than previous-generation speeds. Large files and folders will flow in moments, rather than minutes.

Superior stability and durability: Shielded cable for minimal interference and max strength

For improved strength and resilience, Dual 4K USB-C Dock has a connecting cable that’s shielded by an aluminum braid that provides up to 1.7X-better coverage than traditional cables. This quality construction minimizes the risk of signal attenuation, reducing interference by up to 60%, ensuring rock-solid connections wherever the user sets up. The cable is also supremely tough, and has been laboratory tested to withstand up to 10,000 bends and twists.
